KIVI is a supporting organisation for EAAW VII: "Combat Power at Sea" to be held on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 June 2017 in Bristol, UK. All KIVI Members and the Federation of European Defence Technology Associations (FEDTA) can attend EAAW VII at the special IMarEST Marine Partner rate (please follow the links below).

The Engine As A Weapon (EAAW) series of international symposia is the leading forum which aims to unite the marine and combat systems communities to resolve the integration challenges of current and future naval design. EAAW VII aims to further explore the vision of fully integrated engineering systems, and is an IMarEST Learned Society event. Attendance contributes to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

The Symposium theme 'Combat Power at Sea' has led to a particularly well supported Call for Papers with high quality submissions that have allowed the technical committee to develop a very exciting programme for EAAW VII, the programme comprises a varied and eclectic mix of technical papers from both the combat and platform system arenas. There are technical papers from the Netherlands, Singapore, USA as well as from the UK. Several presentations cover power systems launch and integrated energy systems, energy efficiency and unmanned systems making EAAW VII an unmissable event for all those eager to get the latest thinking and direction from academia, industry, the MOD and overseas navies.

Government attendance is typically drawn from navies and naval procurement officials, at all levels. Commercial attendance includes representatives from a range of companies from prime contractors to SMEs.
