During last years’ climate summit in Glasgow hundreds of diplomats, politicians and scientists discussed the measures to prevent global warming. How does the world come to an agreement upon such complex issues? Jaime de Bourbon de Parme and Maarten van Aalst, both attended Glasgow, offer a look behind the scenes of international climate diplomacy.

De Bourbon de Parme is Climate Envoy of the Netherlands. He also worked for Fairphone and UNHCR. Van Aalst is full professor Climate and Disaster Resilience (UT) and director of the international Red Cross Climate Centre.

Before the lectures (18.00h) there will be a buffet. Costs for the buffet: 5 Euro for students and 15 Euro for non-students. Participation in only the lecture is free.

This event is organized in collaboration with Studium Generale, Scientists for Future and HV Ockham.
