Or: what to do with CCU?

The nova-Institute has published another one of its excellent papers and presented it at the 7th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers, which was held 20–21 March 2019 in Cologne. It is relatively short, blessedly fee of jargon (translation: it is easy to read) and best of all: it can be downloaded free of charge.
Under the name “Hitchhiker’s Guide to Carbon Capture and Utilisation” it covers all bases, from questions such as “Can the use of “black” CO2 from fossil emissions be sustainable at all?” to “Which CCU fuels make sense from a sustainability perspective?” and from a description of the state of the art to the need of better European legislation.

A good summary can be found here.
