Lecture "How Subsea Technology Is Able To Provide A "Second" Life For The Draugen Field".
After 20 years of succesful operation, the depleted Draugen field was ready to be redeveloped for a second life. Use of unique Subsea technologies ensured new high integrity wells and enabled unique subsea boosting capacity for an increased oil recovery and several other advantages. During this project a major effort of team work and collaboration overcame numerous challenges and sucessfully delivered innovations and technology firsts that will be discussed during this presentation.
