Figure 1 Space@Sea EU project

Oceans and seas have a large potential for sustainable future developments. There is space for food production, sun and wind will provide renewable energy and you could even consider living on offshore floating islands. These offshore developments require both innovation and the experience of 100 years of offshore technology. Together with the industry MARIN aims to assist and inspire blue growth through open innovation projects. In this lecture MARIN will share their views and projects within this exciting new field. Afterwards MARIN would like to have a discussion with the participants what they see as the future steps in offshore technology.

Speaker: William Otto, Senior Project Manager MARIN
