Due to COVID restrictions a virtual tour on board the Sleipnir, as originally scheduled for the KIVI OT presentation on December 16, will unfortunately not be possible.
Heerema Marine Contractors has offered to present instead the results of the first test of floating installation of a wind turbine generator with Heerema’s Rotor Nacelle Assembly (RNA) installation method using the Sleipnir installation vessel.
Heerema performed the demonstration project in collaboration with DOT and the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) to collect valuable operational data and test installation methods and durations.
