Rewatch and slides 'Need for Dynamic Spectrum and How to Satisfy It.'

Dynamic Spectrum sharing is necessary because growing demand is crowding the airwaves. Smartphones, the Internet of Things, military and public safety radios, wearable devices, smart vehicles and countless other devices all depend on the same wireless bands of the electromagnetic spectrum to share data, voice and images. The department KIVI-Telecommmunications invited you for the following seminar at March 28, 2023 with the theme: “Need for Spectrum and How to Satisfy It” is the subject for explaining more about Spectrum Sharing. This interesting seminar will give the concepts to be ready for the future frequency spectrum. To boost the vitality of working people positively, partners Fontys, imec, TNO, TU/e, HTCE and Twice have founded the Workplace Vitality Hub. Home of the hub is High Tech Campus 85 in Eindhoven, a smart office in which the founding partners – together with business partners – combine their extensive knowledge and experience to create real, innovative and efficient solutions for a more vital working environment. Within the Workplace Vitality Hub, there are various possibilities for research projects and (graduation) assignments. For example, you can conduct research into the possibilities of active working, the effects of power naps or the role of smart sensor technology on the vitality of office workers.

Slides Hoe crypto de loop van de geschiedenis door de jaren heen heeft bepaald!

De voortschrijdende ontwikkeling van encryptie heeft de geschiedenis op bepaalde moment kenmerkend bepaald. Paul Reuver en Marc Simons beheerders van het Cryptomuseum zullen demonstraties geven met de oude electro)mechanische crypto apparaten en lezingen verzorgen over markante gebeurtenissen met encryptie in het verleden, deze waren bepalend voor de loop van de geschiedenis, waarna de sluier wordt opgelicht over de huidige stand aan ontwikkelingen op het Crypto-vlak.

We hebben er allemaal mee te maken: hoge prijzen voor elektriciteit en gas. Doordat de gasprijs enorm omhoog is gegaan, is ook de elektriciteitsprijs flink gestegen. Maar tegelijkertijd zijn er ook nog steeds momenten dat elektriciteit heel goedkoop is. Hoe werkt dat nu eigenlijk precies, en hoe komt die elektriciteitsprijs nu eigenlijk tot stand? Dit zal worden verklaard door Joost Greunsven, die de werking van de elektriciteitsmarkt en het prijsmechanisme uiteen zal zetten, maar ook in zal gaan op de rollen van verschillende partijen in het systeem en de ‘spelregels’ van de elektriciteitsmarkt’

Robuuste ICT-dienstverlening in de praktijk met o.a. risico gebaseerde (moderne) toegang met Zero Trust Architecture. Als een dienst (bijvoorbeeld een Internet of VPN-dienst) van een bedrijf onverwacht uitvalt dan levert dat vaak een slecht imago op bij klanten en investeerders. De praktijk leert dat het vermijden van uitval niet eenvoudig is. Zero Trust is een beveiligingsmodel voor bedrijven om zich effectiever aan te passen aan de complexe informatieomgeving, die de hybride werkplek voor mensen omarmt, apparaten en gegevens beter kan beschermen, op elke gewenste locatie, thuis, op het werk en in de cloud.
