"Redeployment of Aoka Mizu FPSO to North Sea"
Bluewaters FPSO ‘Aoka Mizu’ is being modified to start operations in one of the harshest environments on earth at the Lancaster field located West of Shetlands. Over the last years many people have contributed to find solutions for the challenges that this location brings to ensure safe operations of the vessel and its crew.
To suit the field conditions, the hull of Aoka Mizu was strengthened, green water protections were added, and a new turret buoy and mooring system were constructed. On top of that, a sophisticated monitoring system is installed.
During the KIVI lecture, an overview of the main activities is presented, from engineering to construction to offshore installation. Special attention will be given to the model tests and green water analysis.
DETAILS
* Sandwiches beforehand and drinks afterwards are offered with the compliments of Bluewater.
* Registration for KIVI members opens at 21 December 2018.
* For non-members -if seats are still available- registration opens at 14 February 2019.
* Until 19 February you can indicate with your registration if reserving sandwiches is necessary for you.
* After 19 February there may be a possibility to registrate -if not fully booked- but no sandwiches will be reserved for you. You will expected by 19.00h then.
* The Bluewater office can be reached well by Public Transport; it is a 7 minutes walk from Hoofddorp train station.
* If you are planning to come by car, please indicate so with your registration (to estimate required number of parking spaces).
