ASTRON Newsletter July 2022: On May 10th, the LOFAR 2.0 Dwingeloo Test Station was opened with a glorious event! For those who could not join: TV Drenthe provided a somewhat longer YouTube video of the importance of LOFAR 2.0, which is certainly worth a view.
The LOFAR2.0 team had prepared a joyous event, which included all the goodies we like so much from past project milestone celebrations: flags, speeches, coffee/tea, specially designed cakes, sunshine, a visually attractive opening demonstration with plenty of opportunity for failure, clapping and cheering, the press, local television coverage, and so much more…!

The LOFAR2.0 team is ready for the next phase of the project: rigorous testing of the current designs and improving these even more, towards a new life and new science with LOFAR!
