Hogeschool Windesheim and the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI) work together to encourage high-quality engineering education and to offer students the best study career guidance. KIVI therefore makes the Online Professional Development tool available to honors students at Hogeschool Windesheim.


This is an online portfolio builder that is in line with the international standard for engineers and with the competences of Hogeschool Windesheim. It provides insight into your professional development. From September 2018 it will replace the current portfolio Eduweb.

Why the OPD tool?

It is important in the present time to keep developing throughout your career. The OPD tool helps you with this. During your training you learn to set goals, map learning needs and draw up a strategy. You need these skills for the rest of your life. At the same time, the OPD tool is perfect to keep your success projects and achieved training programs and certificates clear and in one overview for later use (for example, when applying for a job.

With the OPD tool, universities get an instrument that is also used by the business community. As a student, you are optimally prepared and can take along the portfolio that you have acquired during your studies and continue to develop it when you start working after your studies.
