AI in Experience Design

Practical Skills for Creatives and Designers

Join us for a transformative learning experience to become more skilled in using AI. We will guide you through the foundations of generative AI, from understanding underlying principles to exploring the creative boundaries. Our session focuses on igniting your creativity to experiment with AI to get the most out of your usage.

Curriculum

Learning Objectives

During this master class, you will:

  • Understand the basics of generative AI and its applications
  • Develop practical skills and a play-mindset in using generative AI tools
  • Understand the ethical considerations and societal impact of generative AI

Content

  • Applications and impact in various fields
  • Interactive sessions with AI, with time for personal case studies
  • Tactics for usage of different types of AI, including: ChatGPT, Image AI, Video AI, and Coding AI

Speakers

Derek Lomas is assistant professor of Positive AI at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. He designs data-informed smart systems for human wellbeing, bringing humanist values into AI systems. He is a classicist, futurist, cognitive scientsit and proponent of the magic of resonance in design. He runs a design consultancy, Playpowerlabs.com, whisch provides education companies with design, data-science and software development services.

Tammy Oudhof is a service and business designer who graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. She graduated on the topic of incorporating generative AI into the co-creation process while exploring future visions. Using the strengths of different types of AI to bring this distant future into the session and sparking participants into generating creative concepts for these futures. Afterwards, she has been involved in a multitude of different AI Master Classes.
