The Biezeno Award 2021 has been awarded to Dr. Meghshyam Shisode
Dr. Meghshyam Shisode is the winner of the 2021 Biezeno Award for his PhD thesis in Engineering Mechanics.
The jury was comprised of Professor Dick van Campen (TUE, chair) and Dr. Frans Klever (Well Design Engineering).
They have selected Dr Meghshyam Shisode for his outstanding PhD research. He defended his PhD thesis on the 28th of October 2020 at University of Twente. His promotor was professor Ton van den Boogaard and his co-promotor was Dr. Javad Hazrati Marangalou. His research was performed in the group of Nonlinear Solid Mechanics at the University of Twente.
His PhD thesis is titled: Friction modelling of coated sheets for forming applications.
The Biezeno Award was awarded at the Engineering Mechanics symposium, which was held in Papendal on October 26th, 2021.
The Biezeno Award is the award for the best PhD thesis on Solid Mechanics in the Netherlands and is a collaboration between KIVI Mechanics and the Graduate School of Engineering Mechanics (EM). More information can be found here.
