We zijn verheugd om aan te kondigen dat de Technische Universiteit Eindhoven opnieuw gastheer zal zijn voor het meest opwindende evenement in de wereld van autonome robots - RoboCup 2024! Na het ongekende succes van de vorige editie, zetten we ons in om een nog spectaculairder en inspirerender evenement neer te zetten. Ontdek hoe robots onze wereld transformeren en de toekomst vormgeven in deze spannende week van 17 tot en met 21 juli.




Ontdek de Wereld van Autonome Innovatie
Stap in de fascinerende wereld van autonome innovatie, waar robots niet langer een toekomstfantasie zijn, maar een levende realiteit. Het doel van RoboCup is om de ontwikkeling van betaalbare en betrouwbare robottechnologie te versnellen, ten behoeve van onze vergrijzende samenleving. Na legendarische edities in Nagoya, Sydney en Bangkok is het nu tijd voor Eindhoven om de schijnwerpers te richten op de nieuwste ontwikkelingen in robotica. We verwelkomen naar schatting 2500 deelnemers uit zo’n 40 landen, die met elkaar strijden in vier opwindende leagues: RoboCupSoccer, RoboCupRescue, RoboCup@Home, RoboCup Junior en RoboCupIndustrial.

Beleef de Opwinding van Autonome Competities
RoboCupSoccer: Een Overvloed aan Robotvoetbal Sensaties. Stel je voor: 'humanoids', wandelende robots met armen en benen, betreden het veld in drie opwindende competities. Daarnaast zorgt de Middle Size League voor een spektakel dat zijn gelijke niet kent. In deze league wordt het meest spectaculaire voetbal gespeeld, met teams van vijf tegen vijf tafelhoge voetbalrobots die volledig zelfstandig het veld beheersen, zonder enige menselijke sturing. De snelheid, tactiek en spanning van dit spel zijn adembenemend. Maar dat is nog niet alles. Bereid je voor op de 'Simulation Leagues', waarin computers het tegen elkaar opnemen in een virtuele wereld vol voetbalactie. En dan hebben we de Standard Platform League, waarin alle deelnemers dezelfde robots gebruiken. Hier draait het om de programmering van de robots, die het verschil maakt tussen winnen en verliezen. Voetbal was nog nooit zo geavanceerd en opwindend.

RoboCupRescue: Reddingsrobots worden uitgedaagd om slachtoffers te lokaliseren in gesimuleerde rampscenario's, waarbij ze ook de omgeving en gebouwen in kaart moeten brengen en daarna verslag doen. Deze technologie kan van onschatbare waarde zijn in noodsituaties, zoals natuurrampen.

RoboCup@Home: Zorgrobots nemen het tegen elkaar op in alledaagse huishoudelijke uitdagingen, zoals het opnemen en serveren van verbale bestellingen voor drankjes en deze vervolgens op de juiste plaats serveren. Deze robots moeten mensen verstaan, herkennen en volgen terwijl ze het juiste drankje pakken uit een scala aan objecten.

RoboCupJunior: Meer dan 1000 middelbare scholieren uit diverse landen presenteren hun robots in voetbal-, reddings- en danscompetities, waardoor jonge geesten worden aangewakkerd door de wereld van robotica.

We anticipate welcoming approximately 3,000 participants from around 45 countries who will compete in four exciting leagues: RoboCupSoccer, RoboCupRescue, RoboCup@Home, RoboCupJunior and RoboCupIndustrial.

Experience the Thrill of Autonomous Competitions
RoboCupSoccer: An Abundance of Robot Soccer Sensations. Imagine 'humanoids', walking robots with arms and legs, stepping onto the field in three thrilling competitions. And that's not all – the Middle Size League presents an unparalleled spectacle. This league showcases the most spectacular soccer, featuring teams of table-high soccer robots engaged in a five-on-five game, autonomously controlling the field without any human input. The speed, tactics, and excitement of this game are breathtaking. But there's more to explore – brace yourself for the 'Simulation Leagues', where computers challenge each other in a virtual world of soccer action. And then there's the Standard Platform League, where every participant employs the same robots. The spotlight is on robot programming, where the difference between victory and defeat lies. Football has never been this advanced and thrilling.

RoboCupRescue: Rescue robots are challenged to locate victims in simulated disaster scenarios, mapping the environment and buildings while providing crucial reports. This technology could be invaluable in emergencies such as natural disasters.

RoboCup@Home: Caregiving robots compete in everyday household challenges, from taking verbal drink orders to delivering them to the right location. These robots must understand, recognize, and follow humans while navigating an array of objects.

RoboCupJunior: More than 1000 high school students from various countries showcase their robots in football, rescue, and dance competitions, igniting young minds with the world of robotics.
