On a cold December day a large group of over 25 young professionals enjoyed the insights of Rein Westerdijk of Team Energy TU/e, a student movement of energy enthusiasts consisting of several groups that build on three pillars: Educate, Think and Do! They all share one vision: a world powered solely by sustainable energy.

Following the short presentation, groups formed to brainstorm sustainability within each person’s organisation: how students can help contribute to enhance sustainability or get the organisations’ attention towards sustainability.

At the end of the session each of the groups explained their brainstorm. ‘Increasing awareness’ turned out to be a common. In order to increase sustainability, we need to increase awareness. Awareness of consequences, awareness of possibilities. Finishing up with suggestions, everyone moved on to drinks and finger food to network and continue the discussion.
