KIVI Carrousel is a bi-weekly event where we can try out different things, such as telling each other about our failures, guest lectures, interviews, debates, a pub quiz or playing a game together. Those that catch on can be broken out into their own recurring event. In this edition; an exclusive interview by Jorrit de Vries (chairman YKE) and Karsten Hoekzema (former chairman YKE) about the start of working life.

About Jorrit de Vries: After graduating as a Biomedical Engineer, Jorrit has been working as a data scientist/engineer for 2.5 years. Through his activities within KIVI, such as his current position as chairman of Young KIVI Engineers, he looks to connect and inspire young engineers. He always looks to combine technical and social skills to build bridges between disciplines.

About Karsten Hoekzema: Karsten recently started as a management trainee at Gasunie. With a background in Civil Engineering (BSc) and Operations Management (MSc) he advocates for engineers in management and politics. As former chairman of Young KIVI Engineers and former Vice President Events of the European Young Engineers he contributed to connecting young engineers for all over Europe.
