The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences is proud to organise the 1st International Cross-industry Safety Conference (ICSC) dedicated to both practical and theoretical aspects of safety. For all industry sectors, safety is one of the focal points, and organizations have recognised that safety improvement contributes to the achievement of broader business goals. This conference aims at creating a platform to disseminate and share knowledge and experience about safety within and between industry and academia. The main theme of the ICSC this year will be "Measuring Safety".

- Keynote speakers:
Prof. Neville Stanton holds the Chair in Human Factors Engineering at the University of Southampton (UK)

Johan Svenningsson is Country Chairman of Uniper Sweden and holds the positions of CEO, COO, Chairman, Deputy Chairman and member of Boards of Directors across Sydkraft AB and Sydkraft Nuclear Power AB

David M. Lindley is aviation safety professional, engineering management consultant and Chairman of the Aerospace Technical Professional Network, Technical Advisory Panel and Aerospace Community of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (UK)

- for papers: Researchers and practitioners from the academia and industry are invited to submit an abstract (up to 400 words) on original research, practical experience and application positions under development about safety. Deadline for abstracts: 27 May 2016.
