From now on it is only possible to register for the lecture. You are then expected at 19:00.

As a bonus, KIVI Offshore Technology is organising a lecture on Platform Electrification and Offshore Carbon Storage on the 1st of February! Katarzyna Swiatek from NAM and Paul Vledder from Shell will present the work that is ongoing on these topics. Don’t miss it!

In order to reduce emissions from operations at AWG platform, a power cable was connected to the platform and equipment was replaced with electrical modules. In this lecture Katarzyna Swiatek will discuss the technical challenges of cable installation in a project with high focus on minimizing environmental impact.

Speaker: Katarzyna Swiatek, Offshore Structures & Pipelines Engineer, NAM

There is no single solution to the urgent challenge of cutting carbon emissions to limit global temperature rise. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) offers a way to reduce emissions from sectors that are hard-to-decarbonise. In this presentation Paul Vledder will discuss the Shell CCS strategy and explain how it translates into Shell projects in Europe.  He will zoom into the Aramis project and SOCSNL (Shell Offshore Carbon Storage NL) providing CCS solutions to the North West Europe industry. He will discuss technical and non-technical challenges faced while developing this nascent industry.

Speaker: Paul Vledder, Business Opportunity Manager SOCS NL, Shell
