175 jaar KIVI Engineering Festival
Op 31 augustus 2022 bestaat het Koninklijk Instituut Van Ingenieurs 175 jaar. Dit 35e lustrum met als thema Engineering Continuous Transition wordt gedurende 2022 gevierd met verschillende activiteiten en wordt op 10 september 2022 groots afgesloten met een Engineering Festival voor een breed publiek in Delft.

Induced Seismicity due to Gas Extraction: Dynamic Analyses for Retrofitting at Groningen
In this evening talk, three engineers from both industry and academia will provide insights into the structural damages observed at the Groningen province and present case studies of dynamic numerical analyses for structural assessment and retrofitting. This event has been organized by Young SECED, in collaboration with the IStructE London YMG and Young KIVI Engineers.

In het kader van het thema van het 175-jarig bestaan van KIVI Engineering Continous Transition willen we samen met leden van zoveel mogelijk verschillende afdelingen in 2 live-workshops, begeleid door professionals, aan de slag om per sector (industrie, transport, infrastructuur, wonen en utiliteitsbouw) het beste idee uit te werken om de Energietransitie te versnellen.

Geotechniekdag 2021
Het thema van de Geotechniekdag 2021 is “Hello World”. Dit thema vertegenwoordigt twee verschillende aspecten van ons vakgebied. “Hello World” staat voor de eerste stapjes die een beginnend programmeur zet. Maar het kan ook gelezen worden als de verhouding tussen ingenieurs en hun omgeving. We zien in de wereld van de civiele techniek snelle ontwikkelingen plaatsvinden op het gebied van digitalisering en datascience. Maar we zien ook dat onze omgeving hogere verwachtingen heeft van onze ontwerpen en inspraak wenst in de oplossingsrichting, bijvoorbeeld op het gebied van duurzaamheid, circulariteit en ecologische impact. Hello World, de geotechnisch adviseur in dialoog met de wereld. De kansen die digitalisering biedt helpen ons om sneller tot de betrouwbare en optimale ontwerpen en projecten te komen waar de omgeving om vraagt. Met het thema “Hello World” van de Geotechniekdag 2021 laten we zien dat Geotechniek midden in deze wereld staat.
